We Are Here UK: Closure Illustration Posts
I was commissioned by the 'We Are Here UK' collective, to illustrate a post on the conclusion of the collective. They had a positive experience with me on our last commission together and had me in mind for their last post. I was given all the creative freedom to illustrate and reflect the conclusively of women and non-binary people of colour that were involved in the WAH's creative workshops while thanking them.
Artisresin Logo & Business Cards Design
This is a commission from a resin business owner who wanted me to create a logo and business card design. They gave me full freedom to come up with any ideas or concepts for the design, which is why I thought of basing the design on the floral resin coasters that they make. I wanted it to be minimalistic with clean lines and font while incorporating floral illustrations to give a pop of colour. After finalising the colour scheme this was the final product and the business owner had made business cards and stickers to add to their products when shipping to customers.
We Are Here UK: Funding & Announcement Illustration Posts
I was commissioned by the 'We Are Here UK' collective, to create announcement posts for their Instagram. The head organisers of the collective Erin Aniker and Jess Nash briefed me on their upcoming funded workshops and what they would like to highlight in the posts. I would send concept sketches, in which they comment on what ideas they liked and would be in the final illustration. The three illustrations were used as callouts for the funded workshops and were on creative accounts.
British Council: South Asian Cultural Heritage Activity Packs
The BC wanted to create and distribute Activity Packs about South Asian Heritage for young people at home during the lockdown. I created a 2-page activity sheet for 16-25-year-olds that focused on Bharatanatyam, the history and how to create your own stories using mudras. The packs will be available to download online as a PDF and will be shared by the project and distributed by youth groups.
Veechu Restaurant - Tamil Culture Canvases
The owners of the Tamil Sri Lankan restaurant in Harrow London; Veechu, commissioned me to paint a canvas for their interior decorations where they have a wall of paintings by Tamil artist. They had liked my collection of Bharatanatyam (a classical dance) prints, and soon asked for more paintings.
Scrapbook Cover Design - Travel Adventure
Commissioned to create a design for a scrapbook that will be gifted as a farewell present. the client wanted the design to have her friend illustrated as an adventurer exploring a tropical bright jungle scenery.
Wedding Menus - Pretty & Shinthu
A commission to design and illustrate a menu for the newly married couple's wedding reception. It was catered food by Veechu and Anyaa catering which had to be included in the menus as it was to promote the new business.
Hen Do T-shirts - Ami's Hen
Commissioned to illustrate the client's friend, she was planning her abroad Hen Do so she wanted to print the illustration on a t-shirt for their group when exploring.
